Kirkcaldy Crematorium was "standing room only" as Big Andy's loved ones, family and friends gathered to say good-bye. The Band was positioned in the foyer of the Crematorium as the funeral service was relayed through speakers to the many mourners who were unable to be seated in the building. The Band played an arrangement of "Gresford" (The Miners Hymn) during the service, and also accompanied the congregation in the singing of "The Day Though Gavest" to the tune of St Clement. Afterwards many band members returned to New Bayview, home of Andy's beloved East Fife, to reminisce and savour fond memories of the Big Man.

Band were in attendance at the funeral of Bb Bass player, Andy McKinlay.
