THE
REID Hall, Forfar, was the weekend setting as some of Scotland's top musicians
battled it out in the Northern Counties Brass Band Association's 21st Entertainment
Contest.
Angus Council sponsored the main prize money for Saturday's gathering and the
event, judged by highly-regarded cornet player Alan Morrison, had a strong local
flavour with Forfar, Dundee, Arbroath, Tayport and Perthshire bands in attendance.
The line-up of nearly a dozen bands made for a highly entertaining programme
